The East Westwood parents of two toddlers are facing child endangerment and felonious assault charges after doctors at Cincinnati Children’s determined the boys’ injuries were caused by physical abuse. Nadine Dellipaoli, 36, and John Harrison, 50, were arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center, according to Hamilton County Municipal Court records.

On Aug. 8, the couple brought their 2- and 3-year-old sons to Cincinnati Children’s to be evaluated. Court records state the 3-year-old was diagnosed with moderate malnutrition and had extensive unexplained injuries, including bruising and several fractures, which medical personnel determined were consistent with physical abuse and neglect. Doctors also found multiple unexplained bruises on the 2-year-old.

Each parent is charged with three counts of endangering children and one count of felonious assault. Both are being held on $100,000 bond each, and a next court date was not listed in online records. Messages left for the couple’s lawyers were not immediately returned.

Authorities have not released further details about how the children’s injuries came to the hospital’s attention in August or where the toddlers are now staying while the case moves through the court system.
