COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced Oct. 5 that the 2026 OHSAA soccer state championships will be played Nov. 13-16 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, home of Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew.
The 20,139-seat stadium in the Arena District near downtown Columbus opened in 2021 and hosted the soccer finals in 2021 and 2022 before the championships moved back to Historic Crew Stadium for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 finals. Historic Crew Stadium had hosted the finals every year since opening in 1999.
The move is due to turf maintenance at Historic Crew Stadium, which is also pushing other fall and winter events to relocate, according to the OHSAA. “This is to ensure the quality player and fan experience and pitch conditions desired for the competition in 2026,” the association said in its news release.
All 10 championship games — five girls finals and five boys finals — will be livestreamed on the NFHS Network, with tickets available at OHSAA.org/tickets. The girls finals are set for Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14 across Divisions I through V, and the boys finals follow Sunday, Nov. 15 and Monday, Nov. 16. The stadium, which also hosts the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, is slated to become home to Columbus NWSL 2028, the professional women’s league’s 18th club announced in April.
