AKRON — Akron Children’s Hospital has earned a spot among the world’s elite pediatric hospitals, landing at No. 29 in Newsweek’s 2027 World’s Best Specialized Hospitals rankings.

The annual ranking evaluated the top 250 pediatric hospitals worldwide, weighing reputation among providers, accreditation status and how hospitals implement patient-reported outcome measures. Akron Children’s was the highest-ranked Ohio pediatric hospital on the list.
